Learn how to research your family history If you're in Nottinghamshire, why not join one of my family history courses. 10 week
beginners course Covers all the basics to get you started:
Lots of opportunity to follow your own research in a friendly, helpful atmosphere. 10 week next steps course - following the success of my beginners course, most learners want to carry on developing their skills. The Next Steps course has been developed to support learners with their individual research needs and explore a wider range of sources - trade directories; records of pauper ancestors; tracing black sheep and elusive ancestors such as 'unknown' fathers of illegitimate children. Next steps also includes a visit to a local archive. Please note that basic computer skills are required as the courses include use of Internet resources and software to organise and display your findings. |
